Super great experience here! Owners and staff were really friendly and kind! Food was really good and atmosphere was very welcoming and open! Love having a dog-friendly and positive place to hang out, will definitely be back!
Lovely little cafe that welcomes doggies. There's a brunch and lunch menu but I'd say this place is probably more enjoyable as a spot to grab some coffee and a snack. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which was appreciated. There's plenty of seating inside and a small tent for outside seating. I'd recommend their drinks!
Such a cute cafe in new Brunswick. It's a little further from my place than some other local cafes but when it's nice outside I like to make the effort to go to Friends Cafe. I love the atmosphere here and they always have some fun season drinks and treats to choose from!
Cozy cafe with delicious food and coffee/tea options! Highly recommend the Persian Fog with coconut milk. Others in my group enjoyed the apple pastry, cappuccino and peppermint tea. Any spot with Persian ice cream with saffron, and a furry friends wall simply is a must try! Sweet and competent barista. Highly recommend!
My (now) boyfriend and I came here for our very first date one year ago and sat in these same seats. Friends Cafe is the sweetest place to be. We met one of the owners for the first time today and he was so very kind to us. We can’t wait to come back 🫶🏻
Friend’s Café in New Brunswick is such a gem! The food was absolutely delicious; everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. I had the avocado toast, the chicken rice bowl, and even tried a few of their homemade desserts (all amazing!). Their matcha was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried matcha from all over. I have to eat gluten free and deal with multiple food allergies, and I was so impressed by how accommodating they were. They had great options for me, and even the gluten free bread was delicious (which is rare!). It’s also dog friendly, which I love, and they even have a menu just for pups! They’re also willing to take special requests for desserts for parties, which I definitely plan to do in the future. Such a great find! I can’t wait to come back again soon.

I’ve come here on busy summer days, resulting in needing to sit outdoors due to lack of indoor seating (which I enjoyed) and I’ve come on slow rainy days — drinks and food are consistently good either way. I like the caramel iced lattes and bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. I’ve brought others on numerous occasions and they’ve also liked the drinks and food they’ve ordered — according to them, the waffles are good, as are the bagels. It’s a pet friendly cafe and there’s a cute picture wall of pups. The playlist was great and they also have games available, like chess, for example.
Friend’s cafe always has amazing food and amazing drinks as well. We had a private event here and they provided well. One of my friends ate so much we had to stop him from ordering more (view photo attached). Small parking lot in the back and lots of street parking but kind of hard sometimes because it’s close to the middle of the city.
We drove 1.5 hours to visit Friends Cafe and honestly, we’d do it again in a heartbeat. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place genuinely loves its furry customers just as much as its human ones. We ordered from their specialty dog menu for our two pups — a chicken, rice and veggie bowl served in the most adorable dog-themed cups, complete with mini treat bones and a plush toy. The presentation alone had us in awe. You can tell so much thought and care went into every detail. The café itself is warm, cozy and full of charm — string lights, a stunning wall of fame featuring every dog who has ever visited, and some of the best coffee we’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is just perfect. What really made our visit unforgettable was the owner personally coming over to greet us. That level of warmth and appreciation for your customers is rare and it does not go unnoticed. We will absolutely be making the trip back — next time with our full pack of four dogs! If you are a pet parent looking for a place that truly goes above and beyond, look no further. Friends Cafe sets the gold standard for what a dog-friendly café should be. 🐾☕
